With the continuous emergence of various portable instruments, the low power consumption and portable design requirements of electromagnetic flow meters have emerged.

In hardware design, high-performance integrated circuits and advanced design concepts were mainly adopted in the amplification circuit, and research was conducted on the amplification and A/D conversion of weak signals under strong interference background. High precision double integral analog-to-digital conversion is adopted, which has a good elimination effect on various sharp pulses and AC power frequency interference. The excitation method adopts a three value low-frequency rectangular wave with good zero stability and strong resistance to power frequency interference. Due to its periodic intermittent operation, the excitation power consumption is greatly reduced. For the core component microcontroller, the low-power and powerful 8-bit microprocessor PIC16F877 produced by MICROCHIP company is used. In software design, the microcontroller operates in power-saving mode, waiting for an interrupt to wake up after each signal acquisition, calculation, and display processing before proceeding to the next measurement process. Using the pulse signal output by the microcontroller to control the analog switch, the action of each switch in the power supply and hardware circuit is switched in a time-sharing manner to minimize the power consumption of the measurement circuit.
